From our lovely seven-night base in Tangalle, we travelled by lunchtime train along the coast to Weligama, a popular spot for beginner surfers. We're only here for two nights before moving onto Galle. We're staying in a brand new guesthouse which is a 10 minute drive away from the beach. We found a lovely (and cheap) tuk tuk driver next door called 'Uncle' to drive us around. We went into Weligama for dinner tonight. And our verdict of the town? Awful.
