Good news - there are hardly any (if no) street dogs in Da Nang. So there's been no stress worrying about them chasing or following you around. Any dogs you do see are pets on leads. There is a history around dog (and cat) meat trade history which I'm not going to delve into here. Good news is animal welfare groups and other organisations are making inroads to stop this all together. However this effort is going to take much longer and over many more years.
